PIONEERS
While the Alpine Club of Canada was founded in Winnipeg in 1906, local crags weren't developed until the early 1970's, when Peter Aitchison discovered the Gooseneck Rocks and John MacKenzie put the Winnipeg Section back on its feet. Over the next few decades, the pioneers of ACC Manitoba developed a treasure trove of crags, that continue to be climbed and added to.
