University of Manitoba Climbing Wall Passes

University of Manitoba Active Living Centre Climbing WallGreat news climbers! The Manitoba Section of the Alpine Club is subsidizing a special 10-visit pass to the new climbing wall at the University of Manitoba Active Living Centre. The 35 foot climbing wall offers varying levels of difficulty and four auto-belays.

A 10-visit pass can be purchased at the Active Living Centre Customer Service Desk. The cost to ACC-MB members for this pass is $55 plus tax. You must show your Alpine Club of Canada Membership club and must be a current member of the Mantoba Section. If you do not bring your membership card, you won’t be able to receive the special rate. Expired memberships will not be accepted.

All individuals accessing the wall must complete a Climbing Orientation session on their first visit to the wall. Climbing Orientation sessions are included in the purchase and are seen as the first visit on the 10-pass. Orientations can be completed during any Open Climb time subject to staff availability.

After attending the Climbing Wall Orientation, you can complete a quick belay test ($5) with the climbing wall supervisor to get started. This is required if you wish to belay or lead climb.
