Join us for an exciting day of rock climbing at Pic Lake in Northwest Ontario.
Pic Lake is all skill levels. We will require a canoe, kayak, SUP, or boat of some kind for a short ride across the lake. Pic has a variety of trad, top rope, and bolted climbs. With route names like ‘In the Name of the Founder’ (possibly the hardest off-width around) and ‘The Snake’ how can you go wrong? There are plenty of possible routes that have not been done or even attempted. Bouldering is some of the best in the land and the big boulders even have top anchors! Camping is back by the cars just off the road at the edge of the lake. Swimming is excellent and the view from the top is outstanding. Being one of the highest lakes in the area, nighttime can offer some great sounds from the loons calling from one lake to another.
Sign up online and our trip leader Rob Hester will contact you with more details and to organize carpooling.
To make life easier for our volunteer trip leaders, please sign up at least 48 hours before the club climb.
