Come out to Assiniboine Park on May 29th or June 1st from 7 to 8pm to sharpen your anchor skills!
We’ll be discussing and practicing our anchor skills including:
Materials to use
Anchor acronyms ( Srene, Ideal, Darn Solid)
Natural vs. Artificial protection
The different types of anchors (unidirectional single point, sliding x, quad, frost, clove hitch, etc) and the pros and cons of each.
We’ll have some time to practice and perhaps even slackline as well.
If you’re unsure about your anchor skills, or want some practice, this is a great opportunity to do it.
Want to put your new skills to the test? Sign up for our lily pond club climb on June 3rd and you will have the opportunity to put what you learned into practice and build anchors that everyone will climb on!
